Depends what source you read ...certainly the morning peak has all been lost, and automatically with it the majority of evening peak passengers. On line says "until end of service" so anyone else checking will learn there are no trains. However, I would not be surprised to see services resume / re-instated at some point, but probably then running near-empty.
x34 bus Trowbridge - Melksham - Chippenham is running. Not accepting train tickets to my understanding. Note that x34 serves bus station not rail station in Chippenham (20 minute walk or connecting bus available). Outbound buses after 15:00 do call at the railway station.
Trains Trowbridge - Bath and Bath - Chippenham running and for today your "via Melksham" ticket will be accepted.
