I'd agree with that, but I'm not sure that any main station in the rush hour is a "popular" place to be........people are generally there through necessity, not choice!  Smiley

When I looked yesterday, platform 13 was a lot shorter - a lot shorter!

It looks like the link-up with platform 12 to make one long one for the new IEPs▸ (Intercity Express Program / Project. This will offer more capacity on routes, save money, give a consistent and safe service and meet customer requirements. Intended to replace HSTs.) is about to come to fruition.
