I've posted this because I was interested in how High Speed lines were signalled and following a tip of from a-driver I found an interesting document on signalling used on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (
CTRL▸ ). Even though I am a lay man that understands the very basics of signalling I found this very easy to understand.

Eurostar has to compete against the low cost airlines. To do that, the passenger perception should not be that of a typical train service, with late, crowded trains, frequent failures and constant excuses. For the service to succeed, we must destroy this perception.
