Question - which of the following will be wired for Electric Trains?

- curve at Didcot (Foxhall Junction) to Oxford line
- curve at Reading from Newbury line to Didcot line
- Rhubarb loop at Bristol - Keynsham to Lawrence Hill
- Filton Abbey Wood to Patchway (direct, not via Bristol Parkway)
- Ogmore Vale Extension (alternative Port Talbot to Bridgend line)

Network Raare re signalling the latter for use as a diversionary route /class 800/801's

Filton - Patchway direct will be getting wired and although not getting much use by the new emu's  it is likely to be used by some local electric services between Bristol & south wales

Reading West Curve already has the gantries in place so is being wired.
Didcot West Curve will also be electrified, the track under Basil Hill Road bridge is being lowered to accommodate the OHL (Over-Head Line)

Some sections of line, cords etc may get wired yet will not see a timetabled electric train other than the odd occasional ECS (Empty Coaching Stock), parts of the network are often wired for the purpose of power distribution / alternative feeding arrangements and a degree of future proofing.

What about towards Avonmouth - from FAW, Patchway or Parkway - thinking of the mooted Henbury Loop and possible electric freight to the docks?
