London Underground station worker stabbed in face
The station temporarily closed but reopened shortly after middayA London Underground (LU) worker has been stabbed in the face in the ticket hall of a station.
The male customer service assistant, reported to be in his 30s, was attacked at around 10:40 GMT at Lancaster Gate station.
The injured man was taken to hospital. The station was temporarily closed while police attended but reopened shortly after midday.
British Transport Police said a 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
LU's chief operating officer Nick Brown said: "This was a horrible, unprovoked attack."
