Hi All,

There was a programme on last night available on BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) I Player BBC2 8.00pm about people who collected things, it called
collectaholics.

About 2 mins in and again 34 mins in there is a person who collected railway signs and posters the value on some items was eye watering

Railwayana has some interesting prices ... looking at BR^▸ (British Rail(ways)) dated posters even from a recent auction

Yes, I watched that; fascinating!  I loved the little railway buffet the couple developed following the sale of some of their other collectables - 'petroliana' - some staggering amounts of money changing hands for old AA signs, petrol pump globes etc.  I could be a real party pooper and suggest some of these collectors have more money than sense, but at least it creates 'living museums' for sad people like me who like to drool over such memorabilia!
