Interesting times this evening. The 1732 arrived from Didcot into Oxford tonight bang on time, but everyone was told to get off as it had arrived before the late running 1724 terminating train. The 1732 then reversed out of p2 into the short siding at the southern end of p2. The late 1724 then arrived, was very slowly cleared and dispatched into the northern sidings and the 1732 brought back to p2, so that everyone could get back on /board for the first time and departed nearly 15min late.

The delay was attributed to animals on the line at Pangbourne, why they couldn't have just brought the terminating service in behind it I don't know. Been a while since I worked over that line though, may not be possible with the signalling.

Possible with the signalling, but the platform isn't long enough.  The station rebuild will hopefully make such farcical delays a thing of the past!
