But is that wide range of buy-ins simply because it's goldedged investment?   Is he really sayng he's proud that they've overcome the worry about the safety of financial investment which would have been a worry in the Railtrack / Steven Byers era?

The shortlist for interview has now been drawn up, and those of us who have missed the cut Wink been informed. I look forward to reading the CVs of the new members in due course, and watching how they help contribute to a cost effective, safe, forward looking and responsive Network Rail which provides the infrastructure for growing, appropriate and reliable train, information, customer and neighbour services with public accountability and openness.  Wishing any of our forum members or guest readers who remain in the process all the best with their applications.
