There has been some kind of commitment statement on Crossrail regarding fares to Heathrow, but without being able to pin it down at the moment from memory I don't think it went beyond acceptance of Oyster (Smartcard system used by passengers on Transport for London services).

There was an expression of interest to be able to use Oyster on the existing Express and Connect a few years back but the desire of the operators for various kinds of electronic ticketing including carnet couldn't be met by Oyster at that time. Also the limit on the total number of zones then was only 15 and they were being progressively eaten up for other purposes.
