Those around me tolerate, and to a certain extent humour, my interest in the railways.  However I came close to overstepping the mark in the early hours of this morning.

After a particularly busy day yesterday I forgot to put my phone on silent when I retired for the night.  All would have been well had it not been for a spot of housekeeping on the forum by the sleepless of Nailsea which saw 15 emails generated between 02:30 and 03:30.  I slept blissfully through the first few but was then woken up in no uncertain terms with cries of "Who on earth keeps emailing you at this time of the morning?"  Checking the phone and revealing it was the Coffeeshop did little to appease the situation.

..and the final irony?  The topic which was being worked on - the Night Riviera sleeper!!!   Grin

A lesson learned!

My apologies, Bob - I was merely doing a bit of 'tidying up' here on the forum!  Tongue Embarrassed Roll Eyes

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

No apology needed Chris - as has been remarked several times today - it was my fault.  Grin

Facebook is worse! Every time someone writes on your wall, a comment you've commented on, sends you a Chat Message, tags you in a pic... You get the idea... You receive an e-mail.

Someone posted a comment on my wall that went viral with over 100 comments. I received an e-mail for every single comment. That was at 2:00 AM... Fortunately I was actually still awake! Shocked

I too probably come under the term sleepless trout Tongue
