Woman hit by train in ^stable^ condition
A woman who was hit by a train near Worle Railway Station yesterday (Sun) remains in a stable condition in hospital, according to the British Transport Police (BTP▸ ).
The woman, aged 34 and from Worle, was treated by paramedics on the line at about 7.15pm, where she was found conscious and breathing.
She suffered several trauma injuries, including to her head, and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
Officers from the BTP are currently trying to establish the woman^s identity to inform her family.
The train involved was the 3.30pm Penzance to Leeds service.
The line was handed back to Network Rail at about 8.10pm.
