You're right not to be convinced, but you're on the right lines.

I thought it looked to bright to be Edgware road.. I'll have another think... Along the same lines  Roll Eyes

Tim was lucky as you get double deck REs (Religious Education) from Aachen to Frankfurt am Oder and Rostock to Saarbrucken.

If you are really up on German rolling stock there are several types of DD push pull sets which tend work certain services, but that still means they will serve a large number of stations.

Have changed at Esterwerde, Seem to remember a long open platform and not as busy. It's the cheapest way for a group from Dresden to Berlin. 2 Lander tickets at E28 each for up to 5 so 11.20 each as opposed to E35 each on the EC.

Paddington H&C, a bit different of course since a lot of the junk down the middle was removed.  

Which reminds me - this 'youtube' video cropped up in the 'london reconnections' blog the other day, some regular travellers might recognise themselves by the colour of their hat...   Grin

Hhm I wondered about that but then also discounted it as it looked to bright to be there too..It looks somewhere quite modern on the picture  Grin

Looking at "modern", I checked the age of trains shown and discover that they date from 1969 and 1977 ... which makes them older that the Turbo fleet.  They are to be replaced over the next 2 years with new stock - the C series being replaced by the S series - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Underground_S_Stock .

Our local supermarket clearing out a few "seedlings and shrubs" before the extended.   A few of the current series of pictures reflect the wider life of passengers who travel on trains in these parts ...
