Saw one of the London Midland (City) 153s on the Looe branch yesterday.  Understand 2 are on loan to FGW (First Great Western) for the summer.

Heard that 1 is supposed to have gone back and is with Northrn now. i wish London Midland would hurry up with their class 172's the need for their class 150's i think is getting urgent.

Maybe FGW (First Great Western) shouldn't have got ride of the loco hauled trains, i think they could do with them this summer to free up a few DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit)'s

Northern have had one LM (London Midland - recent franchise) 153 since March.  It was allocated due to overcrowding on the Cumbria Coast services and Northern are using the LM 153 in West Yorks and have sent one of the Northern 153s to Cumbria for the extra capacity.  Northern have apparently been told the extra carriage is permanent but they may be required to return the unit they have (153336) and receive another one in it's place.

Both LM (London Midland - recent franchise) 153's are alive and kicking. It is a possibility that FGW (First Great Western) will be leasing them from the ROSCO» (Rolling Stock Owning Company - about) directly before the end of the sub-lease and they will stay permenantly.
