Interesting blog concerning access to National Rail data feed ...

http://mocko.org.uk/b/2011/01/08/open-uk-rail-data-media-coverage-broken-appeals-process/

In the interest of balance, does anyone have a link where the National Rail side of the story has been published?

I think NRE(resolve) have decided to screw as much money out of the data as possible while they still can.

I remember the old NR» (Network Rail - home page) site, it was advert free, actually loaded properly, was fast and didnt have stupid flash adverts covering the important bits.

Now is the data public?

Is not the timetable data copyright Network Rail? I say that since you should seek their consent to use it in any publication (I believe there is a note somewhere in the printed t/t book from TSO (The Stationary Office (now OPSI)))
