Something that really annoys me about NRE is that they publicise 0845 numbers for people to get train information when they are at smaller unstaffed stations, when these calls generally cost mobile users 25-35p per minute.  I'm please to hear the "Push for info" button is offering a connection to NRE which passengers do not have to pay for at last.

If you look up the NRE▸ (National Rail Enquiries) 0845 number on the 'Say No to 0870' website, it gives you a landline number to call, I believe - a Birmingham (0121) number?

The number I have in my phone (which seems to work) is 0121 634 2040.  Think I was given this number by someone at a TOC▸ (Train Operating Company) (possibly Southern).

I have only ever heard an announcement there once, and it was extremely quiet, turned down so not to annoy the nearby houses? and also the screen on Platform 2/3 is not readable most of the time. I'd rather have a ticking help point anyday over a screen!

Does anyone know if Filton Abbey Wood has any of the new white help points yet?
