From FGW (First Great Western) live updates:

Service incidents

16:44 Penzance to London Paddington due 22:38
This train will be terminated at Plymouth and restarted from Exeter St Davids. It will no longer call at: Ivybridge, Totnes and Newton Abbot. This is due to disruptive passengers earlier.

Bank Holidays, eh?  Roll Eyes

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

When I got back to Westbury from Paddington at around five past 9 this evening they were announcing the incoming train from Penzance as being 44 minutes late due to "Police having been called to the train"

was the guard 'flirting' with a passenger lol

Hilarious... The TM (Train Manager, or possibly Ticket Machine, depending on context) was apparently assaulted by a member of the public, so the service was cancelled at Plymouth and to run empty to Exeter where an Exeter TM takes over.  TM decided he was happy to continue to Exeter, hence the reinstatement.

We had "Disruptive passengers" on my train back from Plymouth the weekend before last so can sympathise.

I hope that the TM was OK and that the book is thrown as this is not acceptable.  It amazes me what passes for acceptable behaviour at times.

Just had a very unpleasant journey down to Plymouth. A small group (looked 14-16 ) felt it was appropriate to swear, tear up safety leaflets, shout, generally throw things about. Well behaved as TM (Train Manager, or possibly Ticket Machine, depending on context) went through then started up again. Maybe I am just getting old!!! This just seems to be a more and more common occurance.

Hope guard is OK and it hasn't taken the fun out of the job.  I's urge him/her, FGW (First Great Western) and BTP (British Transport Police) to deal with this is strongly as possible.

They'll be accommodated as well as possible on other services, what else do you think would happen to them? You can blame the TOC (Train Operating Company) for many things, but when a safety-critical member of staff is assaulted on duty by one of the passengers and not fit to continue, what else do you expect them to do?
