Phone as loud as a speeding train proves popular

At risk of asking a silly question, if someone can only hear a 100* dB ringtone, how on earth do they hear the phone speaker when they actually pick up Huh

Or does that broadcast at the same volume as a rock concert? Or is this some kind of bizarre late April fool?!

Imagine sitting next to someone on a train when that went off in their pocket! Shocked

*Think ccfonline may have got a bit confused with their powers of ten - 1000 dB is way off the scale (shades of Spinal Tap and their amps which had a volume setting of 11)! Even a gunshot or jet aircraft taking off only score about 150 dB...

Hells teeth! Having a noise that loud on your person is hardly appropriate if you're already hard of hearing. Gonna make your hearing worse with prolonged exposure.

Also, many elderly folk, who this phone is apperently targeted at, have heart conditions. Sudden very loud noises from a pocket could finish 'em off!

I was also thinking that 1000dB was slightly excessive Shocked
