Scotland's Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson has given the go-ahead for an extra station on the Airdrie-Bathgate rail link, which is currently under construction. New stations at Armadale and Caldercruix have already secured funding as part of the Airdrie-Bathgate project. However, plans for a third new station on the route - at Blackridge - have been developed outside the core railway upgrade with the support of West Lothian Council and housing developer Manorlane (link below.)
