From the FGW (First Great Western) website :

Line problem between Cardiff Central and Bridgend.
Train services between Cardiff Central and Bridgend are being disrupted due to emergency engineering works.Short notice alterations and delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected.

Line problem in the Neath area.
Train services between Swansea and Port Talbot Parkway are being disrupted due to a fatality in the Neath area.Engineers are working as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays can be expected. Only London-bound train services are affected by this problem.

04:58 Swansea to London Paddington due 08:02
This train will be started from Cardiff Central.It will no longer call at: Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend.This is due to a fatality.

Regret no catering available on this service.

05:24 Swansea to London Paddington due 08:30
This train will be started from Cardiff Central.It will no longer call at: Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend.This is due to a fatality.

Update from the FGW website :

Line problem between Cardiff Central and Bridgend.

Train services between Cardiff Central and Bridgend are being disrupted due to speed restrictions having been imposed.Delays of up to 20 minutes can be expected.

An investigation is underway after the fatality on the railway line near Neath station in the early hours (link below.)

The person was struck by a train at around 0410 BST in the Commercial Bridge Road area of the town and was declared dead at the scene.

British Transport Police (BTP (British Transport Police)) say they do not consider the incident involving the 0359 First Great Western between Swansea and London to be suspicious.
