First stop Denton. Giving that station a 50% increase in services calling this week.

Finn and I would like to wish all forum members, moderators and admins a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2025.

I hope 1X01 takes that move at Worcestershire parkway at 5mph. Its going from the OWW (Oxford Worcester and Wolverhampton) line to platform 1 the up (Northbound) Bristol and Birmingham. That's a drop of about 20 feet and a turn through 120 degrees.

Staion            Platform
Moreton-in-Marsh [MIM]      1
Honeybourne [HYB]              1

Judging by the timing, it could go through Shrub Hill and Droitwich Spa.  Did you hit the "detail" button or will you be there to watch?

Bah Humbug one and all.

Now shall I do a day trip to Dresden or Praha tomorrow?

(Drops grenade and runs).

Happy Christmas ... to all our readers in far flung places such as  the Czech Republic, Sweden, France, South Africa, Sodor and the former republics of Pimlico and the Isle of Dogs.

For the majority of people travel by train is a means to an end ... and the absence of any ends in the UK (United Kingdom) apart from friend's and relative's homes in the UK means that few people would travel by train even if on offer. Oh - sorry - official line there  Grin

Personal choice today would be Prague - you don't really need my recommendation though because I suspect you know both there and Dresden far better than I do.   If you have a Coffee in Wenceslas Square, raise a toast to the Coffee Shop and enjoy.

Happy Christmas to all our other readers and thank you to all our contributors too.  Of all days, today it's a reminder that our public transport user and advocate community is one of great appreciation of one another.

Merry Christmas all - I was relieved to hear that a last minute deal for quadruple time brought Christmas Day into the working year for reindeer so Santa was able to make his deliveries!!!

Currently on a train to Praha. Ústí buses were running and there were a few passengers on each one.

This train is slowly filling up and I hope to keep my first class compartment to myself as the train hugs the Vltava. The sun has burnt through the mist and the views are stunning as usual.

And there's a Gold Cap doing the revenue duties on this train but he failed to ask for my ID card to go with my ticket.

It will be interesting to see how full Václav Náměstí is today.
