Over a hundred pictures I have taken in the last six months in my travelling around and predominantly public transport support activities - pictures biased to that aspect because I'm publishing it on this transport forum.

You'll find many pictures with people in them. Transport is about getting people (and freight in another aspect) around, and it's run by people - in government, management, operation and community support.  Many good people, many good friends, many similar aims - though at times we have different ways of reaching them and some robust discussions.

Published on Christmas day (and, yes, I am traveling on a ship today), I invite you to see how many pictures you can recognise if you're looking for a quiet few minutes away from the family or for any other reason.  If you want some structure, here are some questions to try to answer:

1. What organisations / groups / events are shown in the pictures?

2. How many train operators are represented and who are they?

3. What heritage things can you spot and what special events?

4. How many pictures at each station and in the towns along my local line (Swindon, Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge and Westbury)

5. Are there any pictures of Taunton?

6. How many London Terminii (which ones?)

7. Which do you think is the most recent picture?

8. What is the furthest North, South, East and West I have pictured.

If you need to see a picture larger, ask your browser to open the image in a new frame or window.   Images take the format http://www.wellho.net/pix/lsm000.jpg - with the "000" being numbers "000" to "119" for the 120 pictures.

For 2024, I am looking forward to many more hours and days of enjoyment with public transport friends and colleagues.

An astonishing number of views go this thread tells me that lots of people have read it, though feedback has been absent. I will fill in some answers

Chippenham - 2
Trowbridge - 4
Westbury - 5
Swindon - 7
Melksham - 23

Four "classic" termini, two others of trains terminating within London, and one other station where lots of trains do terminate (still, I think) though the train pictured is a through one.
