Sad to report that Hector the Redruth station cat passed away today.

Earlier in the day:

A message from Hectors slaves.

Unfortunately Hector has been rushed to the vets by a lovely lady who found him unable to move this morning in Redruth.

We are just waiting on an update from the wonderful team at Monument vets once they’ve assessed him. Suspected hit by a vehicle.

Then this afternoon:

We’re so sorry to say that Hector has sadly passed away, one of his slaves made it to the vets in time to say goodbye. We knew he had a heart murmur and the vets believe it was his poorly heart that unfortunately gave up.

We will be having him cremated and he will sit under his picture forever.

Thank you so much for all the well wishes it’s really appreciated.

I was saddened to read this on Facebook this morning. I only met Hector once and briefly at that as he was on his way elsewhere. RIP.
