AGM▸ is never the most thrilling of meetings - it's where an organastion looks at its internals, reviews its results, and appoints its leaders for the next year. Railfuture's conference in September (in Leeds) will be a much bigger affair as the members branches and specialist group press forward on the organisation's campaign goals of a bigger, better railway. But never the less, yesterday's AGM included the Rail User Group awards, and I am delighted to report that the Melksham Transport User Group received the bronze award for its website - a degree of irony because we can do even better and meet on Monday to plot the way forward. One of the significant features the judges comment on is that we're very much a transport group and not just a train proponent.
