William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Didn't realise until the closing credits that it was filmed on the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway.....even though I've been there, not all that long ago and maybe more than once.

As someone hailing from the home of the Flora Dance (and who had the once-in-a-lifetime honour of leading it many moons ago), I was a bit anxious when I saw this link but really enjoyed it. The music is from an ?Edwardian song inspired by the original tune.
