Renewed my season ticket this morning - for the first time in four years, no discount.
0734 WOS» to PAD» is delayed by 30 minutes and will be first stop Reading (ok I'm going to Reading but for anyone else at intervening stations the train is effectively cancelled )
Agreed, the delay is alledgedly a broken down freight train ad not FGW▸ fault but its not a nice co-incidence
What performance group are you? I'm surprised FGW have got the 12 month figure above the discount threshold, unless it is a very low trigger point.
Also very interesting that a path could be found on two allegegdely well used lines i.e. Worcester Cheltenham and Swindon Didcot, considering they are both mostly double track plus Kemble Swindon is single track. Did you hang around much at junctions, bar Snooker Junction (Reading) where it's always colour after red?
I tend to get monthly tickets so each month the performance is based on the previous month - its not worth me getting any longer than that. For example, at current client until end of August - they may extend in which I may be here longer but I may have to find a new client which could be anywhere in the country so I may not need FGW
On the whole the cotswolds line during late March/early April ran fairly well so I was not too surprised - its just annoying that it seems back to its old tricks the day after.
As for the diversion - we sailed through - did Worcester to Reading in about 1 hr and 15 minutes (I started my internet connection as we pulled out and when I unhooked it on approach to reading it said I'd been connected for 1 hr annd 12 minutes!)
