This looks fun ... or would have been, 20 years ago. I first learned to surf on Loch Morlich (near Aviemore) on a cold spring morning, with snow higher up on the surrounding mountains.

Advert that's appeared in our turbos ...

I'm noting "20 minutes from Bristol". Which is the nearest station? Are they offering combined rail and entry tickets? Can I take my own board on the train? Grin

You can take a surf board on local services, it is only on the new improved long distance trains that they are now prohibited.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards,luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU^▸ is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.
