From June to September 2019 there will be a steam train running three services each Tuesday from Waterloo to Windsor. There don't seem to be any return services.

A regular steam service between London Waterloo and Windsor has launched for the summer months. The Royal Windsor Steam Express departs Waterloo every Tuesday from 4 June to 3 September 2019 — at 8.02am, 11.10am and 2.10pm.

Vintage Pullman coaches are pulled by Mayflower, an original British Rail engine built in 1948.

Passengers can choose from four classes of travel; the cheapest tickets start at £35, or you can shell out £85 on a champagne brunch in the dining carriages.

A Sunset Steam Express will also leave Waterloo at 6pm every Tuesday from 4 June to 3 September, offering a four-hour round trip to the Surrey Hills.

The news will buoy steam fans, who were dealt a blow recently, when it was announced that steam trains will no longer run through central London on the Underground.

Well ... publicity does say "Waterloo TO Windsor".

on the same basis as
"Direct train London TO Amsterdam" but you have to change at Brussels on the way back

and the SLC^▸ (Service Level Commitment) that said
"Two services shall be provided from Westbury TO Swindon" and indeed they were for a year, with nothing the other way

Seems the early arrival of the stock for today's trip to Windsor caused delays for SWR^» (South Western Railway - about) services into and out of Waterloo this morning.

A steam locomotive caused rush hour delays at Britain's busiest railway station after it arriving too early by mistake.
The error made by a signaller led to the train Mayflower being allowed to arrive at London Waterloo ahead of schedule on Tuesday morning, an industry source said.

This caused several hours of disruption for passengers travelling to the station on South Western Railway (SWR) services.

It’s also been explained elsewhere that the steam stock only caused a minority of the delay minutes. Apparently the majority (over 80%) were caused by holding a 10.442 outside the station which was mis-routed into the wrong platform.

It seems the timetable falls apart for a few hours even if an incoming train pauses safely at a signal for just a few minutes?
