More pics. Not ideal light, and the shits I really wanted, from up the hill opposite, looking across to the Engine House, weren't possible. A Travis Perkins lorry was spoiling that scene. I did bag my favourite power car though - 43003 Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Didn't recognize it although I've been there. Mind you, it was closed at the time.  Roll Eyes It would be good to go again, when it's open. How long is the walk from Bedwyn station (miles or minutes)?

About 30 minutes, best way is along the K&A towpath. There is also Wilton Windmill just down the road; and the Swan for refreshment after the journey.
If you are feeling energetic then I can recommend starting at Pewsey and ending at Bedwyn, thus needing a break at the Swan!

Thanks. I'd probably be accompanied by an almost-teenager so it'd be the shorter way!

I trust they were possible later in the day for you, even if you were not able to take full advantage of the earlier pleasant view!
