First time I've used the Southampton Airport link personally.

Love it ...

13:00 from home, 20:30 (UK (United Kingdom) time) in my hotel at the far side of Munich from

Had a similar journey to Munich in May 2016 but flew from Cardiff, via a bus ride from front door of my house - bus boarded at 11am, dropped at CWL 50 mins later, at destination in Italian Dolomites at 11pm by way of a flight to Munich and 3.5 hour drive across 3 countries.

It was a refreshing experience to be able to use public transport from my front door to the airport and to avoid the trek to and from Heathrow which seems to be the bit of the journey that really breaks me, especially on the return leg - landing to home in 30 minutes was a complete revelation!

Excellent return on Friday ... 07:46 from Southampton Airport change at Romsey and Westbury (could have set off 20 minutes later but wanted to try the Chandler's Ford line.

09:48 from Westbury left with 38 on board. -1 +9 at Trowbridge  -4 +10 at Melksham. 56/14

I will admit that the 10:02 Westbury to Paddington was cancelled and we had a number of passengers slightly bemused at being on a 1 coach train that replaced an 8 car.  But they were only going to be 15 minutes late at Paddington.
