It appears that every 07:06 train on a Monday morning for the next twelve weeks has an 'advance single' price of £112.50.  Anyone know if this is likely to change downwards?
I'm trying to book tickets for February and March and debating whether to hold off and see if the prices will drop or not?
Thanks

Hello, and welcome to the forum.   The 'direct' answer is that it's very unlikely indeed that prices would change downwards.

Why have you chosen the 07:06?    The 07:18 is half an hour faster and on the one sample date I looked at - 16th January - is also offering the £112.50 fare; these are quite small savings over the walk up price of £120.00 for an any time Taunton to London Paddington, which you risk being the fare offered if you don't jump in at the current price.

A thought ... have you looked at http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=4254.0 where we talk about booking your journey in two sections?   The 07:06 calls at Newbury, for example ...

Or drive over to Yeovil Junction for an Any Time Day Single at £57.10 (an Advance single at £49.70 on 5.14am is showing as well as I write!).

No doubt someone else will come up with a cheaper (split?) option!

6.20am gets to Waterloo at 8.46am for example.

If it has to be from Taunton and has to be the 0706, and is one way, then the following split tickets are valid:

Taunton to Westbury, Anytime Day Single £12.70
Westbury to Pewsey, Anytime Single £9.10
Pewsey to Newbury Anytime Day Single £8.80
Newbury to London Terminals Anytime Day Single £29.40

For a total of £60.00

The use of these split tickets is permitted under the Conditions of Travel condition 14.1 (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/46427.aspx). The 0706 calls at Westbury, Pewsey and Newbury where you change from one ticket to the next. You can remain on board.

Do note however that Taunton to London Paddington services have different calling patterns and this combination of tickets will not be valid on earlier or later trains.
