Care needed - ice on Melksham platform.   

It appears that the platform at Melksham has not been gritted this morning, and indeed a passenger went flying and gashed his leg as he went down the gap between the train and the platform edge.    Flagging here on the CRP▸ (Community Rail Partnership) area to alert regulars / our team and record the incident.   Also reported to control by the train manager, who was also going to inform the conductor of the train coming the other way at Westbury.

Platform edges at present are old, none-ridged stones that accumulate puddles, so the platform is especially likely to be slippy ... much more so than Trowbridge (which had been salted).  Still hoping to catch up with the "new" station manager soon so that we can re-establish an input route in the case of events like this, but area priority is now based on size of station and Melksham is the smallest ...
