From http://www.railrover.org/pages/valley-lines-day-explorer.html

Quote
Unlimited off-peak travel for one day on Arriva Trains Wales services around Cardiff and on the Welsh Valley lines.

The ticket is also valid on all Stagecoach buses in south Wales and on Rhondda Buses operated by Thomas Coaches.

An Evening Ranger is also available.

This ticket can be bought online from Great Western Railway's website.

but from

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/pr74d6511aca42fd8c6e17e4e3e78f8a.aspx

Quote
Unlimited travel on Arriva Trains Wales services in the designated geographical area for one day.
Valid for travel after 09:15 Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

with no mention of buses.

Which is right (do I recall we've had this query before?  Couldn't find it ....)

Arriva Trains website specifically says

Quote
Things you need to know:
◦Rovers and Rangers tickets do not include travel on bus services.
◦Rovers and Rangers tickets cannot be purchase online or by phone. These tickets are only available at stations or on board the train.

Both statements being 100% wrong.  Roll Eyes

A couple of Ranger/Rover products in Wales include bus travel. Second statement should include "from us". GWR (Great Western Railway) sell Rover/Ranger products online that are valid in Wales.

Stagecoach have put a lot of details about the valley lines dayrover including a map showing where you can go on it by train and bus which surprisingly includes Hereford and Brecon (Bus Only)

Full details here :

Does anyone get pissed off by that site needing you to set your location when you want to look at info specifically away from your location?

I just clicked the x (top right), the box disappeared and the page opened OK. So just ignore Stagecoach's request, as it is similar to when you look up bus times in other areas, otherwise it takes you to your nearest Stagecoach company and you have to start over. Poor website design!

When you start over, it didn't give me the option of (re)stating my location, thus I needed to clear all my (some are useful!) cookies to get that option return.

Seriously poor design
