To mark the final day of operation in Plymouth for First Devon we will be running several classic buses on traditional Western National routes from the City Centre to Yelverton, Plymstock, Torpoint and Modbury.

Thanks for posting that item of news, Palfers.  Wink

I've taken the liberty of adding it to our forum diary, and wish the organisers all the best for the event.

By the way, I used to live in Plymstock, and rode into Plymouth on such buses.  Grin

Well it looks at least as though the changeover has been done properly.  The bus stop signs and timetables were changed overnight (05/06 September) on my local route which is changing from First to Plymouth Citybus Cheesy

All three operators seem to have worked together to ensure it all works well.

I'm surprised the competition marketing authority haven't interfered though, as competing routes have been withdrawn with stagecoach only taking on routes not already operated by Plymouth citybus. Stagecoach and Plymouth citybus don't appear to have any competing routes.

8 DDA» (Disability Discrimination Act - about) Deckers and 4 B7 singles are on hire to Stagecoach (P+R branded vehicles) until Next year and 4 non DDA Darts are on short term loan to Stagecoach.

All other DDA buses except 3 single decker B7s have been moved to Cornwall
