Hi all.

I need to travel from Thatcham to Barry Docks on Monday 13th and notice there is an advance fair that saves me a few quid

If I book this via tha app do I need a printed copy of the transaction to to collect my ticket from the station (or TVM (Ticket Vending Machine))?

Regards

If you register within the app it will send you an email with the booking ref which you then then read on your smartphone....so no you don't. If you can't read your emails, access them before going to ciollect & note down manually the ref number

I'm a bit confused by the "off peak" fair which it says I can use this on the 0800 service from Thatcham

I though that off peak fairs were only available after 9- is the app right ? I suspect it is and it is my understanding is wrong Smiley

If you're worried about that, my app is showing an Advance for 60p cheaper still, at ^46.50

Just re-read - you've seen that Advance fare!

The off-peak is valid as you are effectively travelling away from Reading (and Reading fare is cheaper anyway, so you wouldn't buy and travel short).

Off-peak is different depending on where you travel to

Thanks ChrisB - I didn't want to tie myself down to a specific return service so bought an off-peak return. Paid for on-line and collected from the TVM (Ticket Vending Machine) at the station.
