From The Independent:

Quote
A street artist tribute to Trigger might have moved commuters, but it seems staff at Southern didn't share their appreciation

Commuters were moved to witness a fitting graffiti tribute to late Only Fools and Horses actor Roger Lloyd Pack last night.

A street artist tagged the side of a train in Tonbridge station with his character^s name ^Trigger^, alongside the show^s famous logo, which had been adapted to read ^Rest In Peace^.

"I don't condone graffiti, but had to smile at this one at Tonbridge station today," architect Andrew Paulson, who posted the image via his Twitter feed, said of the sight.

However, it seems workers at Southern didn^t share their appreciation. Upon noticing the artwork, the train was quickly taken out of service for the ^traffiti^ to be removed.

"Whilst the sentiment may be welcomed by some, this is criminal damage which is being investigated by British Transport Police," Southern^s head of revenue protection and security, Stella Morris, confirmed.

But the police may not be able to keep up with the Trigger tributes cropping up across the UK (United Kingdom). Another fan in Brighton noted the quality of this particularly colourful Trigger tag:

Roger Lloyd passed away at the age of 69 last week following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Del Boy actor Sir David Jason led the initial tributes to his colleague, labelling the late star a ^very quiet, kind and unassuming actor who was a pleasure to work with.

"Although he played the simple soul of Trigger in Only Fools And Horses, he was a very intelligent man and a very fine actor capable of many roles," he continued. "I shall remember him with fondness and for all the good times we had together."

Nicholas Lyndhurst, who played Only Fools... character Rodney, said: "I^m so saddened to hear about Roger. He was the most accomplished actor and loved by millions, I will miss him greatly."

Earlier today, it was revealed that David Beckham will make a guest appearance in a one-off Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief in March.

Lead characters Del Boy and Rodney will be reunited for the first time in a decade when the sketch is screened on the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) One charity night.
