Police appeal for information about incidents across DevonBritish Transport Police (BTP▸ ) has released images of a number of people officers would like to speak to in connection with six separate incidents which have taken place on the rail network in Devon.Investigators are calling on the public to help identify the individuals in these photographs as officers believe they may have information vital to their enquiries.

Officers would like to speak to the man in image 1 about an incident on board a train between Newton Abbot and Dawlish stations on Wednesday, 30 October 2013. A revenue inspector on board the train asked a passenger for his ticket but the man became abusive towards him, swearing repeatedly at him before leaving the train at Dawlish.

Officers are also appealing for help identifying the man in photograph two as they believe he will be able to assist their investigation into an incident on a train between Torquay and Newton Abbot stations on Thursday, 5 September 2013. Again, a passenger swore repeatedly and was abusive towards a member of rail staff who had simply asked the passenger to produce a ticket for the journey. Can you help us identify this man who we think will have information which can assist?

Do you know this couple? Officers would like to speak to this man and woman about an incident at Torquay rail station on Friday, 8 November 2013. A man and woman at the station used abusive language towards a member of staff who had challenged them about their tickets having been tipped off by another member of staff who had dealt with them previously and who had also suffered abuse.

Can you help identify this woman who officers believe will have information about an incident on board a train between Digby & Sowton and Exeter Central rail stations on Sunday, 13 October 2013? A female passenger on the train had an invalid ticket and refused to buy the correct ticket when challenged by the train manager. When asked to leave the train, she became abusive towards and swore at the member of rail staff.

Officers are investigating the theft of a bicycle from Newton Abbot railway station between 7pm on Thursday, 24 October 2013 and 7.30pm the following day. They would like to speak to the people in images 5a and 5b as they believe they will have key information. Can you help officers identify them?

The identification of the man and woman in images 6a and 6b is sought by officers who believe they will be able to assist their enquiry into an incident on a train between Teignmouth Exeter rail stations on Wednesday, 16 October 2013. The train manager on board the service suffered racial abuse from two passengers. We believe the people in these photographs will have information which can assist.
Sgt Dave Mannion, officer in charge at BTP Exeter, said: ^Five out of six of these incidents relate to members of staff suffering verbal abuse, threats or racial abuse while simply carrying out their job of checking tickets on trains. This is completely unacceptable and behaviour of this nature will not be tolerated by BTP. Today, I am releasing images of people who officers want to speak to in connection with these incidents ^ and I am appealing for your help to identify them. If you recognise any of the people pictured, or know their whereabouts, can I ask you to contact BTP as soon as possible?^
