Line problem: at Maidenhead.

Owing to signalling problems at Maidenhead trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.
 
Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 mins or revised at short notice. Disruption is expected until 17:00 09/10.

Due to the severity of the signalling failure a revised timetable has been implemented. The following will apply until further notice:
- Local stopping services from Oxford to London Paddington will not call at Twyford or Maidenhead;
- Local stopping services from London Paddington to Oxford will run non-stop London Paddington to Reading;
- Local stopping services from London Paddington to Reading will call additionally at Iver and Langley;
- Services to/from Bedwyn will start/terminate at Reading.

South West Trains and London Underground services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for First Great Western rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.

That will be interesting in half hour or so when the school children all get there to find no train home.. Although admittedly at the moment it does look as if the 15.32 to Paddington should be stopping at Maidenhead, it's not showing as cancelled just yet

I travelled on my usual 1706 PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains)-BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) tonight, departure from PAD and arrival at TWY (Twyford station) were each only 2 minutes late. However the sets for this train and the 1703 to Penzance were swapped over for some reason meaning that West of England passengers 'enjoyed' a high-density set with a micro buffet.

The 17:06 was formed from the train which worked the 12:55 Pullman from Plymouth. As for micro buffets - that was what greeted the staff at Plymouth waiting to work the 12:01 Pullman from Plymouth.  So that may be why a micro buffet was sent back down on the 17:03 to get things straight again.

I was on the 17:50 from Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill, not a train that I often use. It was an HST (High Speed Train) with a long buffet, but I'm not sure if that's the norm.

We lost time out to Oxford (12 late) and, for some reason, didn't regain it afterwards. Stopped at Norton Junction to let the local to Great Malvern go ahead of us, so when we got into Shrub Hill (22 late), we'd missed two connections towards Malvern.
