Transport questions in the House of Commons

I made a FOI^▸ (Freedom of Information) request to DaFT^» (Department for Transport - critical sounding abbreviation I discourage - about) and they tell me the next three sessions in the Commons are at 9.30 am on 7th November, 19th December and 6th February 2014, always taken live on BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) Parliament. I look in vain for contributions from our Bristol/N Som/S Glos  MP^▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context)'s...the closest we seem to get is Duncan Hames Lib Dem MP for Chippenham.. and I've yet to hear him say 'Melksham'!

It's a bit of a waste of their time (and my taxes) asking for info like this by FOI though? 

There's a timetable published, so all your request has achieved is the February date, which would be published in due course anyway...

Thank you for putting me on to this. I couldn't find this information anywhere. The official Commons website never publishes any future parliamentary business more than  10 days ahead.

Duncan's constituency includes four sizeable towns, and four railway stations, and I'm delighted to say that he looks at the picture for the whole constituency, and indeed beyond ((with, as one would expect, a good regard to the effect of the wider picture beyond on the constituency)).  I'm very happy indeed with what Duncan does / has done for the TransWilts, and equally happy that he knows it's not to be considered in isolation ... that railways are truly a network for freight and passengers.

I'm puzzled - isn't www.parliament.uk the official site? 

I just put 'oral questions' into the search box, and the first link goes to a page with the order of questions in the middle...

Further to grahame's post above: I've met Duncan Hames (in Melksham!) and I, too, was very impressed with his knowledge and commitment to obtaining improvements along the TransWilts line, as well as elsewhere in his constituency.
