Reading to Exeter - which platform?

Reading to Exeter - which platform?

If traveling from Reading to Exeter before Xmas, with all the works going on at Reading, which are the most likely platforms for departure?

Difficult to predict accurately. Best to check the Cusomer Info Screens in the concourse. It won't be 4 5 or 6 though :-)

Normally the Reading to Exeter trains depart from P7 but if there is a service disruption sometimes this can change.

Also Normally Standard class is at the western end of the platform (furthest from the main concourse) whereas First class is Normally at the Eastern end of the platform.

As has been said, best to check the screens on the day - but if travelling on Sunday 16th or Sunday 23rd it definitely will not be Platform 7 (or 8 ) as both will be closed all day with services using 9 and 10 instead.

edited to defeat the auto smiley in place of platform 8!
