Two Rubbish Fires
East Charles Street and Camborne Train Station, Trevu Road, Camborne at 18/05/2012 00:08
A total of twelve fire-fighters on two appliances attended two separate rubbish fires this morning. One appliance attended a rubbish fire in a back lane off of East Charles Street. These crews used a hose reel and a pitch fork to extinguish the fire. A second appliance simultaneously extinguished a rubbish fire at Camborne Train station using one hose reel. Both fires were arson suspected and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident scene.

Two appliances from Camborne attended this incident, the third in the same vicinity in the last four days. On arrival the crews found a small amount of rubbish on fire, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a high pressure hosereel. Arson was again suspected. Children were seen in the vicinity. Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed and will be making further enquiries.
