...not the the rail division this time but First Bus in Bristol. Natty new ticket issuing machines but, as always, only as intelligent as the person programming them:

On the other hand, at this time of year, employers are inundated with schoolchildren placed with them for 'work experience' - so they have to give them something to do ...  Roll Eyes

Ahh... work experience. Remember it well. Texas Homecare DIY (remember them?). Day one, arsing about with a pallet truck and I managed to lower a quarter tonne of concrete mix onto my mate's foot.

Broke two of my mate's toes and got 'fired' from that 'work experience'.

Silver lining. I was placed at the Castle Hotel in Taunton instead. Learnt to cook under the tutelage of one of the youngest ever Chefs to earn a Michelin Star, Gary Rhodes.

I just read the T&Cs for the First Class Weekend give away (Wales). I can't currently decide if this is a typo or FGW (First Great Western) being stingy.

Quote
Win a luxury weekend in Wales terms and conditions
Win a luxury weekend in South Wales prize draw terms and conditions

1. The prize includes two nights^ bed and breakfast for two people sharing a room at St Pierre Marriott Hotel and Country Club. The prize also includes first class return rail travel via First Great Western.

2. The hotel prize is valid for stays up until 31st October 2012. The prize is subject to availability, and excludes Saturdays.

So, two nights in a hotel, do you stay Friday night and Sunday night, staying somewhere else on Saturday or what?
