Whilst waiting for my 1736 service tonight I noticed an adelante (sp?) pull in from the west into one of the northern platforms (9 or 10?) . I am guessing it was going on to paddington. I believe it was in FGW (First Great Western) livery .

I seem to remember these were used on the Thatcham line on some of the early morning services prior to the introduction of HSTs (High Speed Train)

Most likely out on a test run which they have been doing for the past few days.

It will be good to see these units back on the GWML (Great Western Main Line) certainly adds some variety

Yep it was, I left platform 9 around that time and it was just coming into platform 10 (not sure if it was stopping) - all nice and new and shiny it was!
