A TOC (Train Operating Company) is dead. Long live the TOC!  Grin

National Express East Anglia are no more. Abellio Greater Anglia's franchise started at 0200. First scheduled train for the new franchise is, I believe, the 0440 to Broxbourne, although there is a rail replacement bus to Stansted Airport at 0410.

EDIT: To add. There is one remaining NXEA (National Express East Anglia) service out there. The 2245 Cambridge - Bury St Edmunds is heavily delayed due to the weather. Live departures showing over 3 hours overdue at Bury St Edmunds. Last heard of near Newmarket, possibly stuck. Pity the poor passengers if that is the case.

Just a shame that their website, having had a countdown for the last few months, is currently not available. I suspect some of their passengers would quite like to have some information on services, judging by the weather in the east.

I was about to say before John R beat me to it...

Their website on their first day of Operation has crashed...! as of 22:00 - 05/02/2012 It's live but only has a very basic page on it showing an amended Monday Service... Roll Eyes

I wondering if this is a sign of things to come? What a way to start eh!

Or maybe their IT Staff need replacing?? Cheesy

When the current greater western franchise was on offer, National Express was the only bidder to approach the Cotswold Line Promotion Group and hold a meeting to find out what collectively CLPG» (Cotswold Line Promotion Group - about) knew about the ten current operations, failings and aspirations.

I really don't like their website (now it actually works).

I hope it's temporary!
