3  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in South and West Wales / Pontypridd new platform? on: March 25, 2013, 19:21:32
Nice to see the new canopy, waiting room, ticket office and toilets but when will the new platform be done? Surely the bridge is going to be restrengthened as well or are they going to use the open bay or infill it to stop short of the bridge on one long platform?
4  All across the Great Western territory / Media about railways, and other means of transport / Re: Ian Hislop & Beeching Report Anniversary - BBC4 Thursday 28/03/13 2100hrs on: March 25, 2013, 19:04:00
There seems to be a lot of documentaries into the history of the railways on tv recently, whether they are repeated or not!  Folly or otherwise, industrial vandalism or progress, they are always interesting. When you see the Freedom Railway doc / Maree on Tarrant it puts the UK (United Kingdom) in perspective!

Been stuck at red at the sea wall myself  too!
Would a way through Tavistock be a more cost-effective alternative  for Plymouth  and Cornwall ?
