Hi  Grin

I hope I've posted this in the right place.

Basically, on April 14th I'm hoping to travel to Swindon via train from Plymouth. I have to change at Bristol Parkway according to the journey planner and have about 20 minutes to do so- I've never been Bristol Parkway before so I'm wondering if 20 minutes will be enough time to changeover trains- And how easy it is to get from A to B at Bristol Parkway. Also, just checking... No engineering work planned, yes? Hopefully the trains are reliable.

On Good Friday- Do trains runs? To get to Hereford from Plymouth I have to change at Newport Gwent? I've never been there before so again same questions that I've asked about Bristol Parkway.

Thanks
Connor.
4  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Devon - Central, North and South / Trains From Torquay on Saturday Evening. on: November 12, 2011, 01:25:01
Hi Folks.

On Saturday [The 19th] I will be travelling to either Torre or Torquay station [not sure which one yet] so I can get to Plainmoor and watch the mighty Green Army  Grin

I looked on FGW (First Great Western)'s Journey Planner for trains coming back from Torquay, and noticed there really isn't many. There is one at 17:57 and then not one to get back to Newton Abbot until after 7pm- Just wondering, on a Saturday Evening, after football matches etc, the lack of services running from Torquay/Torre to Newton Abbot? Surely it wouldn't hurt to throw in an extra train....

Also, would it be worth booking my tickets in advance for the Plymouth-Newton Abbot leg of my journey [I plan on getting the 10:25 from Plymouth and the 18:22 from Newton Abbot] are these trains usually busy?

I'm not much of an expert so any answers you can give me is appreciated  Wink

Thanks.

11  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Plymouth and Cornwall / Re: Tamar Valley Line Cancellations? on: July 27, 2010, 22:49:03
Thanks for clearing that up,

But thats how it was said on the Info Point at Devonport, I thought it was very odd myself.

12  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Plymouth and Cornwall / Gunnislake Line - Tamar Valley Line - ongoing discussion, merged posts on: July 27, 2010, 18:14:45
Hey All,

Was at Devonport today expecting to get on the 14:57 service to Gunnislake,

Everything was on time, until then the Info Point at Devonport, come up with Delayed by 4 Mins, then 8, 12, 16, 20 before announcing the service was cancelled due to 'High Winds'

Have services been cancelled through out the day? Or just the 14:57?
Any more Info on this would be appreciated

Thanks, Connor  Wink

I suspect there may be a water tanker lurking in the car park prior to the arrival of the kettles.
Few 2 Litre bottles of Tesco Value Water should do the trick  Grin
