2  All across the Great Western territory / Your rights and redress / Re: Regional fleet toilets... on: November 14, 2010, 17:20:42
im with sprog on this one i also work on the west fleet DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit)'s and alot of the reason the toilets are L.O.O.U is due to vandilism, and having short supply of stock to repair them and also lack of time on an FPX at night to fix them, they wouldnt treat their toilets at home like it so why should they treat our trains like it??? how would they like it if i went round to their houses and kicked the toilet seat off and rammed a hole roll of tissue paper down the pan and flushed it so it over flowed all over the floor, and smeared feaces all over the walls they wouldnt like it at all. i have seen some horrific sights in the toilets on the west fleet and some of them have made me physically sick and i have a very strong stomach, and another thing is every toilet is graffitied by KNOE i wish some one would catch him at it and make him repaint all the panels and replacce all the windows he has damaged!!!!!!!!!!

8  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / First 150/1 has arrived at FGW on: July 18, 2010, 06:29:11
The first of the 150/1's (150125) arrived at spm last night from LM (London Midland - recent franchise) ready for a safety exam before being used in service it still carries LM livery and has the old 2+3 seating but overall the general condition of the set is very good.
9  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Re: FGW's ban on disabled scooters branded 'unjust' (this is Somerset 03/07/2010) on: July 14, 2010, 15:16:32
i totally agree with you they are to big and bulky to be on trains especially dmus as they are over crowded as it is, plus there are no room on hst's for them either!

Turns out it isn't a write off, at SPM (St Philip's Marsh (Bristol depot)) under repair.

that is correct the unit is under repair its not major damage as it is being driven round the depot!! think it is awaiting new airbags and suspension parts but nothing major!!!
13  Journey by Journey / Bristol (WECA) Commuters / Re: 07:28 TAU-BPW on: February 05, 2010, 05:11:52
most of the dmu's still have their emergency hammers on board but instead of having clear breakable covers on them they had grey or white film over the top of the breakable cover to deter vandals as they think they are no longer there but if you read the safety notices they clearly state they are still there. but i do know they have been removed from 2 car 158's due to laminated windows it is a fleet campaign by FGW (First Great Western)!!!
14  Journey by Journey / Bristol (WECA) Commuters / Re: 07:28 TAU-BPW on: February 04, 2010, 22:41:55
the safety hammers have been moved from most trains now due to laminated windows being fitted. they would rather the windows didnt shatter and cut people when if it crashes. but trap you inside instead!!!
15  Journey by Journey / Portsmouth to Cardiff / Re: Incident near Salisbury (3-2-10) on: February 04, 2010, 18:24:53
