Re: access to Reading station during and after the blockade, I've attached two maps which hopefully clarify what the access arrangements are going to be during and after the work.

I am led to believe there will be no changes to the access at Reading station during the blockade.
Access to the car park will be altered, with the existing overbridge closed. The walking route from station to car park will now be via the subway.

As the man responsible, I can confirm that 43134, 43144 and 43164 all carried 'The Mayflower' and 'The Red Dragon' headboards for the 'Named Trains' photoshoot - at both Paddington and Old Oak Common.

The headboards were carried to coincide with the reintroduction of individual logos on the window labels, for each named train.

No Photoshop trickery here!

150202 was sighted at Plymouth's platform 3, a week ago. It is in Central Trains lime green livery - without the white 'Cs' at each end. The interior is the original 2+3 seating, complete with orange doors and 'BREL^▸ (British Rail Engineering Ltd), Trainmakers for the World' lettering on the door steps.

That's what I thought! But as it mentions 108 & 126 which arrived after the 153s, as well as being dated 26/08/11, made me wonder whether it was an additional 2 on top of the 2 we already have..? Website was www.thejunction.org.uk

A (usually very reliable) website, has mentioned that whilst 150108 and 150126 have arrived with FGW^▸ (First Great Western), two additional 153s will be heading this way.

Anyone shed any light on this?

In saying 'Dynamic Lines', I meant 'Local Lines' too!!

I believe livery policy for the DMUs^▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) is for plain blue with pink doors - understand all future repaints will be done in this way. Not sure what it means for the HSTs^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) - hope the lines are kept!

I believe (and based on the smartness of the power car), the team decided simple was best! I would like to have seem units treated in the same gloss blue as the HSTs^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)), but with more subtle dynamic lines - my belief is that what dated the livery was the purple>light blue gradient in the background, not the lines themselves.

Not sure if it's related, but SWT^▸ (South West Trains) have been route clearing a 158/159 combo between Bournemouth, Wareham, Dorchester South and Weymouth in the last week.

Has anybody else noticed that the marketing department are ridding everything of 'dynamic lines'? You will no longer find them on local unit repaints, the latest timetables ... and now the website.

It doesn't explain why stop boards have been installed at Maiden Newton and Dorchester West though......
