1  Sideshoots - associated subjects / Campaigns for new and improved services / Re: Reopening Cullompton and Wellington stations (merged topic) on: April 26, 2012, 13:52:10
Let's get real here. There is no chance that FGW (First Great Western) will make additional stops between Exeter and Taunton. Wellington is not that far from Taunton and if the bus setrvice to TVP from Cullumpton is no good then surely a more  relaistic solution is to get a  regular bus to run there??
2  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Re: Quiet Carriage / Coach: restrictions and issues - ongoing discussion, merged topic on: March 09, 2012, 11:22:20
I have found that an early intervention with any phone user in the quiet coach usually works. The words " I'm sorry but you can't use your phone in here its the quiet coach" seems to be both effective and not cause offence. If it doesn't then have a word with the Train Manager.  Enforcement has to be in the hands of the occupants of the coach!
3  Journey by Journey / London to the West / Re: Sunday buses to/from Plymouth on: March 04, 2012, 20:57:54
Bus connections  from Plymouth to Tiverton Pw when engineering work is on are reliable. The train doesnt go until the busses have arrives and it takes about 1 minute to get from the bus to the platform. Don't worry ! I have experienced this very many times wihtout problem.
4  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Club 55 on: January 28, 2012, 22:08:56
Does anyone have any inside info on the future of Club 55. I see it is running in Scotland again, and I got surveyed last week by FGW (First Great Western) as a past CLub 55 user - but no sign of a new Club 55 for FGW as yet. Any news?
