If I'm not mistaken, at FGW▸ (First Great Western) stations, you actually receive a small discount for paying by phone.
If memory serves me right there is now a surcharge for the 'convenience' of paying by phone. At Bristol Parkway, though, there was a very small discount available to train travellers by keying in the day's 'code' displayed inside the station. Does this still apply?
