My favourite is the PA (Public Address) on the H&C/Circle line platforms at Paddington: "The next westbound train has just departed Paddington" not exactly the next train for people waiting on the platform Wink

Popped in today for lunch at the parcel yard. Stunning building - very impressed  Smiley

Seems like a lovely offer from FGW (First Great Western). I was just curious if these can only be used by the season ticket holder, or whether I'd be able to use them to take the missus on a summer holiday to Cornwall Smiley

The terms and conditions say non-transferable I just wasn't sure if that was from the moment they sent the tickets out to me or from when I write a name on them Wink

Cheers.

I managed to squeeze into the 7.15 to Swansea. I'm usually all for being given as much detail as possible about the cause of delays, but in this case I think the train manager may have overdone it a bit. He explained the suspected fatality at Iver and then went on to add that due to health and safety regulations we were also delayed due to the train crew needing a break before starting the journey. On a massively overcrowded train full of mildly frustrated passengers, I think probably the first part of the explanation would've sufficed (At least judging by the reactions of the people I was surrounded by Wink)
